Carrie Fisher, Best Known as Princess Leia, Dies

December 23rd, 2016: It was a normal day for the Fisher family, until word got out that Carrie Fisher had become sick and had been placed into the hospital. She had just gotten off a flight from London to Los Angeles and experienced a medical emergency. Just four days later, the world had to say goodby to her. Carrie Fisher was most known for her infamous role as Princess Leia in the Star Wars films. Her passing was very sad for all the Star Wars fans, and Carrie’s family. Just one day later, Carrie’s mom, Debbie Reynolds had a seizure and sadly passed away 3 hours later.

The cast and the fans of the Star Wars movies were very sad to hear about these tragic losses. However, these deaths were probably most hard on Carrie’s daughter, Billie Lourd, who is most known for her role on Scream Queens. Billie lost her mother and her grandmother over the span of 2 days.

The death of these two stars was a big shock to the whole world. These deaths were in addition to legends like David Bowie, Prince, and most recently George Michael, who also passed away in 2016.
